How Can I Be Involved?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Trinity Baptist Church is our desire to share Jesus with everyone. We want to begin in our own community, our state, our nation and our world. Trinity Baptist Church has numerous places for our membership to serve. Won’t you join us?
Trinity Baptist Church is involved in several mission outreach ministries. The Disaster Relief Ministry of Trinity has traveled to several states after natural disasters in the last few years. Their work includes “mud out”; tree removal; and rebuilds. At each location, the Disaster Relief Chaplains share with those affected by the disaster that there is hope in Jesus for their lives.
Trinity Cares Ministry is an outreach to our community through the distribution of food, clothes, hygiene products, coats, pillows and other household or personal items. During the year, Trinity Cares collects these items and delivers them to the area ministries that serve people on a daily basis.
Our GA’s (Girls in Action) and RA’s (Royal Ambassadors) (girls and boys 1-5 grades) collect supplies throughout the year to send to missionaries around the world. Each month they study these missionaries and Skype with them on a regular basis. Their goal is to learn about the lives of these missionaries and how they can help them serve God in far away places.
The Women on Mission Team meets each month to learn about missionaries in other countries. They serve our police officers and firemen during the year with personal notes and delivery of Christmas platters during the holidays. They take on several projects during the year to serve others in our community.
Salt the Planet is our monthly outreach and visitation. We visit those who have visited our church recently, our homebound members, those in nursing homes, and area neighborhoods. These visits are to encourage individuals, invite people to visit our church and to share the gospel of Jesus with everyone in our community.
ESL (English as Second Language) meets weekly during the school year. This class is to help those not fluent in English to learn the language in an easy, relaxed atmosphere. The lessons are taught in a beginner, intermediate and advanced setting.
Walking the 12 Steps with Jesus Christ is a teaching ministry presenting the message of recovery from addictions through the healing powers of Jesus Christ. Addictions come in many forms and this ministry allows individuals to walk through their addiction and into recovery with Jesus.
Music, Orchestra & Drama
We strive to present our praise to an audience of One. Our worship and praise is truly for His honor and glory. The Music Ministry of Trinity works tirelessly to present music to our audiences that bring them into God’s presence. The choir, praise teams, orchestra and drama are open to all. Everyone can make a “joyful noise” unto the Lord.
The Music and Missions program is designed for Ps4 – 5th graders. The children work on a musical each semester that encourages them and allows them to lead the church in a worship service. They meet weekly and are led by adult choir members and parents who truly enjoy music in their lives.
Ushers, Emergency Response Team, Welcome Team and Parking Committees
The Ushers, ERT (emergency response team), Welcome Team, and Parking Committees play an important role at Trinity Baptist Church. They are involved in parking lot directions, welcoming individuals into the service, directing visitors to various locations on campus, answering questions, providing security, and preparing for medical or evacuation emergencies as needed.
Media & Technology
Media and Technology are such an integral part of our culture today. Trinity Baptist Church uses media to enhance our worship services, as well as, keep us in contact with our members. Several of our ministries have Facebook pages so that their team can keep up with the latest news. Our Sunday morning worship services are recorded, so that attendees can order them to share with others, or our membership can order them if they are absent from a service.
Children’s Sunday School and Kidz Worship
Each Sunday there are age graded classes for nursery through 5th grade children. These classes are a wonderful time for children to learn the stories of the Bible, sing songs, have a snack and learn just how much Jesus loves them. Our Kidz Worship program runs simultaneously with our Adult Worship Service. During Kidz Worship children learn about God’s grace, His provision, and His love for us through crafts, music and lessons.
The Student Ministry at Trinity is outgoing and growing through the solid leadership of our Student Pastor and adult leadership. Our goal is to introduce our students to God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice for our eternal salvation. The students hold an annual golf tournament fundraiser in the spring to help offset the costs of student camps and mission trips. During the year they are involved in several ministry outreaches, student leadership trainings, dramas, and fun trips.
Small group Bible studies are available each Sunday morning for Young Adults, Single Adults, Couples, Men, Women, and Senior Adults. These small group studies include fellowship and Bible study for our enjoyment and spiritual growth.
Life Lessons Prayer Meeting is our adult mid-week study and prayer time. Individuals are able to share prayer requests, have a corporate prayer time and receive a Biblical lesson as well.
BTU’s (Bible Teaching Units) are held during the school year on Wednesday evenings. There are spiritual growth and leadership classes for men, Bible studies for ladies, and Financial Peace University classes for those interested in getting out of debt or learning how to stay out of debt.
Common Threads is a group of sewers/crafters/quilters/all around individuals who come together to make items for those less fortunate. They also work on church projects during the year.
Senior Adult Cover Dish Dinners are held monthly for our over 55′s. Each month is a wonderful time of fellowship, a program and of course lots of great food.
Senior Adult Exercise Class is held twice each week. The attendees spend some time walking in the gym and the second half of the class is with stretching and strengthening exercises.
Widows and Widowers have quarterly events that encourage fellowship and fun. Events have included games days and outings.
